Hello it's been a while since I blogged too the sean bell sitution is truely depressing. It is sad that things like this happen. Police are suppoesd to be peace keepers. They should have waited. A true shame made worse by the fact that no one was held responsible for this

Have you ever wondered whether some of the COINTELPRO agent provocateurs were actually the one's who instigated the murder of the person whom you mentioned above.

Precisely because the BPP KNEW that it was being infiltrated, causing members not to know who was an agent and who was not, there was immense suspicion. But, whose idea was it to carry boiling water into a swamp?

The official account sounds like a lot of FBI and local police originated B.S. And the idea that national leaders gave the order to "off" some local guy whom nobody had ever heard of before? Why? If that was happening, there would have been many, many more murders of informants, because informants were rife and everybody knew it.

I lived six blocks from a Panther office, and I never heard a single story of anyone being rough up, much less murdered, on suspicion of being an informant.

Black people didn't need outside agitators to convince them to riot.

Sharpton, man making money off these so called racist problems. Cops usually do what they want, they do it to whites too, but you don't hear that in the paper. How would you all like to live in IRAQ? Some people have noooo clue!!

Excellent! I celebrate African-American trailblazers everyday in my classroom. It's wonderful to present the accomplishments of our ancestors who have paved the roads to brighter days ahead; even better to present those folks who still move among us.

My best to you, old friend.

April 13, 2008
I write to assure all you bloggers that many of us white people are as appalled by the death of Phylicia Moore as any black person is. I remember reading about it when it was first reported a year ago. I live in Woodcliff Lake, N. J. which is not far from Teaneck. Lawrence AAron, a columnist for North Jersey's biggest daily newspaper, The Record, did an update on the tragedy a few days ago and urged support for Phylicia's Law, the legislation proposed by U. S. Representative Steve Rothman of Fair Lawn, N.J., which requires schools to improve safeguards for children on overnight school trips.

I immediately E-mailed a "Letter to the Editor" , copied to everybody on my mailing list, briefly summarizing the tragedy and urging them all to support the proposed law via: www.phyliciaslaw.com

This morning I went on the Internet to re-read the original reports and it finally hit me that although Phylicia's life was over, the school tour went right on with its itinerary. Further rereading has convinced me that the Moores have been fighting a conspiracy of silence and I plan to keep yelling until somebody starts talking. BTK

A year later and I continue to wonder - if only the chaperones had checked the rooms/roommates reported missing roommate etc.

Somebody saw something! Investigation could have started moments after, and the list of "what if's" go on.

This is the first time that I have heard about this sistah. I am sorry to learn of her untimely death and the pain her family is going through.

I will definitely be writing about this within the next few days. We need to educate and speak up in support of justice for this young woman and her family.
